The talk will give an overview of the device driver model that is currently being developed for the U-Boot bootloader.
I will explain our ideas for implementing board support and device drivers in U-Boot as well as internal workings and important design decisions of our proposal.
Marek Vasut was involved with Linux ARM kernel development ever since highschool. At the university, his activities were extended to U-Boot, QEMU and occasionally OpenEmbedded hacking.
Marek became the PXA and later USB custodian within the U-Boot bootloader project. Later he joined the DENX software engineering team.
