Abstract

This will be a hybrid conference and workshop.

We’ll explain how to configure an IPv6 to IPv4 gateway system, so that people being in an IPv6 only subnet can reach IPv4 Internet. We’ll use FreeBSD 9 for that.

Theory of protocol translation will be covered, with of course explanations on the DNS packet rewriting.

We’ll demonstrate, with a live demo, how to use IPv6 only and be able to reach both IPv4 or IPv6. There will be a public wifi available for the conference attendees, so anyone will be able to experience using IPv6 only.

Biography

Having worked for several large ISPs, MM. Gargula and Huet have a proven track record on both systems and network operations.
