Free information can only be truly free if it can be found with free software. Centralized search engines can not only do censoring but also influence peoples knlowledge and opinions with the selection of the top-ten search results. Search users are used to the situation that search is provided to them, but what kind of opportunities will be available if people are able to provide a search service to themselves? We show how YaCy can be used by everyone easily, how peer-to-peer search with YaCy works and how everyone can implement a self-made (topic-oriented) search portal with just some clicks. We try to show how and why such a search portal may provide the best search results for you and maybe the users of your search portal with YaCy.
