Media, Radio, Television and Professional Graphics

What Open Source tools are available to media professionals?

That is the main question that will be addressed at the special "Media, Radio, Television and Professional Graphics" stream the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is co-organising during the LSM 2012.

More than 20 projects

The media sessions during the LSM will show over 20 Open Source projects related to audio-visual content production and distribution, covering ingest, encoding, storage, audio post-production, video-post production, graphics, play-out, radio, etc.

Sharing experiences

Goals are to learn how the open tools are used in practice and what their features/limitations are. The idea is also to create links between people from media, developpers and industry. Live demonstrations of the tools will be available too, including Swedisth Televisions’ CasparCG Graphics play-out and a completely open radio transmission platform.
